Ian Mortimer about to fly Ian Fulcher's Super Chipmunk
Roy Shelley flew Ian Fulcher's F4U Corsair and is seen here doing a low flypast.
Now it wasn't that Roy didn't bring any models... because he did. However, he didn't have them to fly.... as his Razzle wasn't quite up to it as you can see from this picture. This was the end of a long spiral dive that Roy had no control over
Another shot of the mess that was once Roy Shelley's Razzle 3D model.
Ian Mortimer flying his Extreme 3D model in prop hang mode
Ian Mortimer landing his Extreme 3D model after a flying display
This year we were treated to an impromptu flypast and short display by a full-size P51 Mustang
Martin Mortimer, our safety marshal at the event takes photos of Ian Fulcher's Corsair and my P40 Warhawk on a formation flyby......... yeah I know they aren't very close for a formation, but you try it!, and low so someone can take a photo
Two members of the public take to the skies with our club trainers, supervised by club Examiners Roy Shelley and Ian Mortimer, buddy box systems in use on both models. This exercise was very popular especially among the younger members of the public
The next group of "trainees" waiting to go and being given a safety and control talk by Martin Mortimer
Martin returns to the control tent with a young "trainee" after a successful flight, the youngster seems deep in thought.... perhaps wondering how to get Dad to buy him a plane......
Once again that's it for this year... perhaps we will see you there next year.
