The ever popular "training" sessions saw plenty of activity with three trainers flying at once, instructors from left to right, Ian Mortimer, Roy Shelley and Martin Catling
Ian Mortimer, kneeling, instructs a youngster on the club trainer with a buddy box system while a proud Grandad takes a photo
Roy Shelley gets his P47 Thunderbolt ready for a flight, Paul Catling was pit crew for just about every flight of every model over the weekend
Pit crew "catty" taking a well earned break while the training is going on
Young Sam Barber and Ryan Guest look on as Paul gets a club trainer ready for flight
The narrow flying strip was fairly rough as this year we were unable to get it rolled, combined with a gentle crosswind and a tree at one end it did catch out one or two lightly loaded models, Chas Sugg showed the inverted landing technique of his Sopwith Dove
Just to show the amount of effort club members make to put on a show at this event I have included a photo of Graham Wilkes's Ford Galaxy stuffed with models, ten in fact were crammed into his MPV (Model Plane Vehicle) four of which were large scale warbirds
Finally visitors to Henham this year were treated to a rather erotic carving from an old tree stump positioned just outside the marquee
Once again that's it for this year... perhaps we will see you there next year
