A source of head scratching was the undercarriage doors.... it took a whole day to get the damn things to open and close correctly. The fit is a bit hit and miss due to the plastic on the nacelles going slightly out of shape and trying to hinge the doors on a curved edge. I also had to use a bit of modellers licence on them as the wheels were in the way, a pair of spats came in handy to produce a neat bulge that fitted over the wheels

 

Now this is the bit that I've been working towards..... painting. Top colour applied to the wing and drying.....

 

 

And also the fuselage gets it's topcoat.........

And..... TADA! 

Home made roundels applied and the radiator warning chevrons, just lettering to finish

First complete assembly to check C of G........ Oooh! a bit tail heavy, not surprising with that long tail and short nose. I don't like adding lead but I have no option here as everything is up front already.
