This year the club was again invited to display our models at the premium vintage aircraft and vehicle event in Suffolk, namely the Wings and Wheels show. The show takes place on a Sunday in the middle of May and has in the past been held at Heveningham in Suffolk, this year however it was held at Henham, which is just east of Halesworth. In previous years due to a lack of flying space we have only been able to display our models statically, but this year we were to be able to fly our models showing off our skills to the general public. However.... this was not to be as the organisers had arranged for a full size helicopter to give pleasure flights to the public, they had also placed us close to the parking for the full size planes and next to the runway. So with the full size coming and going all day, the close proximity of the plane parking area, and the helicopter.... it was just not going to happen. Still, a good number of models were put on static display, the sun was shining and a good, if somewhat frustrating, day was had by all

This shot shows the static display outside the marquee. Just beyond the cars is the full size aircraft runway
Shot showing the outside display
Still outside but from the marquee side of the display, note the full size planes parked close by
A view inside the marquee, the models on display here were nearly all warbirds
Another shot of some of the display models inside the marquee
This shot shows one of the various types of full size that either flew over or landed at the show. I have no idea what this is... but it was a side by side two seater and very fast.
That's it for this year... perhaps we will see you there next year, and just maybe we get to FLY
